- I've been reading this for a few days now. I love what I have read so far. Gary Roe has a way of putting into words what I'm feeling and helping me see that I am not on this grief journey alone. This book is meant to be read a chapter a day. The chapters are short and easy to read. There is a daily affirmation at the end of each chapter summing up that days reading. If you are hurting from a loss, get this book; it is truly comfort for the grieving heart.
- I love this book because it covers every emotion and thought a grieving person has. It makes you feel normal when your life has turned upside down after losing a loved one. Just knowing that one other person has thought or felt these very things is powerful in working towards healing. When reading anything that Gary Roe has written, he gets it right. I love the questions that can be answered with thought or by writing your answers in a journal. The affirmations at the end of each chapter are so helpful and insightful. I felt very comforted in reading this book because it felt like someone really understood the grieving person.
- When I lost my daughter, and a few years later my mother, I could not read anything longer than a paragraph here and there. This book would have been perfect back then. I will highly recommend this to newly bereaved people.
